Lighting engineer reviewing ceiling plan beside installed luminaires

Ledvance project services from brief to commissioning

A disciplined service path connects the design criterion, luminaire schedule, control intent and site handover without separating technical choices from delivery constraints.

Five workstreams, one accountable information chain

01

Application definition

We clarify room use, task planes, mounting geometry and maintenance conditions before discussing a fixture family. The outcome is a concise basis of design that records target illuminance, visual-comfort priorities and environmental constraints.

02

Optical evaluation

Distribution files support calculations for horizontal and vertical illuminance, uniformity and glare. We help teams distinguish nominal lumens from useful light delivered by the selected beam and spacing.

03

Electrical coordination

Driver current, power factor, dimming method and emergency requirements are reviewed alongside sensors and gateways. Interface questions are surfaced before a control sequence reaches the commissioning stage.

A visible route through specification

1

Submit criteria

Provide drawings, ceiling conditions, lighting targets and the controls narrative.

2

Review evidence

Compare IES/LDT outputs, family data and applicable certification scope.

3

Coordinate schedule

Resolve mounting, ordering codes, accessories and driver compatibility.

4

Prepare handover

Align installation references, commissioning inputs and final records.

Technical assumptions remain explicit

Each recommendation is tied to the available product data and project conditions. Final values, certification applicability and control compatibility are confirmed against the selected model rather than inferred from a family headline.

Calculation results remain sensitive to room geometry, reflectance, maintenance factors and the exact IES or LDT file. Dimming performance depends on the selected driver, connected controls and commissioning sequence. Environmental ratings and certification marks apply only within their declared product and market scope. These boundaries are recorded so design approval does not rely on an unstated substitution.

Start with the lighting criteria that matter

Send the reflected ceiling plan, target light levels and control protocol. We will organize the technical questions for the next design review.
